3. Payments of the rental price and the tourist tax

3.1. Credit card paymentPayment at the time of booking (conclusion of contract) is 100 % of the rental price (accommodation plus cleaning fees). 

3.2. Payment by bank transfer: Payment by electronic invoice and bank transfer is possible by prior agreement. The rental price is to be paid in full upon booking (conclusion of the contract).

3.3. The Validity of the contract becomes effective only upon confirmation of receipt of payment by AlpRent. The specified payments must be transferred within the stipulated deadlines, otherwise the booking will expire and AlpRent has the right to freely dispose of the rental property and cancel the booking without compensation.

3.4. Payments to AlpRent, in particular payments from abroad, must be made without deduction of fees and commissions.

4. Cancellation and Insurance

4.1. 100 % refund of the paid amount for cancellations within 48 hours (from the time of booking). The Free cancellation within 48 hours can be done by both parties, by the tenant as well as by AlpRent.

4.2. In the event of withdrawal after 48 hours, we charge a processing fee and the following cancellation fees:

- up to 45 days before the start of the rental period: processing fee only

44 to 30 days before the rental period begins: 50 % of the rental price plus processing fee

- from 29 days before the start of the rental period: 100 % of the rental price

The processing fee is CHF 90 plus a 3.5 % credit card fee on the booking amount. 

4.3. In the event of cancellation, the paid and unused cleaning fees will be refunded to the tenant.

4.4. In the event of no-show, the renter shall pay an amount equal to the total rental price.

If the agreed rental period is not fully adhered to, the entire rental price for the agreed duration must still be paid.

4.5. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

5. Damage and security deposit

5.1. The security deposit will be authorized on the credit card 5 days before check-in (no charge) and released again 10 days after check-out. The amount of the security deposit is:

· 1-room apartment - CHF 300

· 2-room apartment - CHF 500 to 600

· 3-room apartment - CHF 500 to 900

· 4-room apartment - CHF 500 to 1,200

5.2 The inventory and the rental property must be treated with respect and care. The house rules must be observed. Any damage or loss caused by the tenant or co-occupants must be reported immediately to AlpRent and reimbursed.

5.3. Damage that has not been reported to us, as well as the additional cleaning of a heavily soiled property, will be deducted directly from the security deposit or subsequently invoiced to the tenant. The burden of proof for innocence lies with the tenant.
